PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise dust collection performance by effectively removing dust stuck and deposited inside a dust collecting means, reducing the reduction of a suction air. SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower 5 for generating the suction air; the dust collecting means 3 consisting of a hard fixing part 9 and a dust collecting part 10 for collecting dust; and a dust collecting chamber 4 for storing the dust collecting means 3. The dust collecting means 3 is held in the dust collecting chamber 4 by the fixing part 9, and also provided with a dust removing means 30 for removing dust stuck to the dust collecting part 10. Thus, dust collection performance is hardly deteriorated in the vacuum cleaner even after dust is kept being collected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
