PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective disassembling method for rationally processing a disassembling object including a toxic substance generated by disassembling an incinerator. SOLUTION: This method disassembles a refractory material 1 polluted by the toxic substance such as dioxin when disassembling the incinerator, and first recovers the disassembling object by performing a preliminary disassembling process for disassembling only a surface layer part 1a of the refractory material permeated with the toxic substance, and then performs a regular disassembling process for disassembling a residual part 1b of the refractory material including no toxic substance. The preliminary disassembling process to the surface layer part of the refractory material is performed by thinly cutting the surface layer part of the refractory material by a cutter 3. The regular disassembling process to the residual part of the refractory material after preliminary disassembling is performed by crushing the residual part after generating a crack around a hole by diametrally expanding the hole by a hydraulic wedge machine by forming the hole at a prescribed interval in the residual part.
