<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate software production costs on a function item basis by getting out of conventional rough man-month calculation to obtain an estimated value by totalizing them, in the environment of the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: An administrator 10 previously inputs mathematical expressions and unit costs for calculating the software production cost from a terminal 11 connected to the Internet 13; they are respectively stored in a mathematical expression database 123 and a unit cost database 124; and customers 101-103 intending to estimate the software production cost inputs, as parameters, environmental conditions for operating software, types of function items of the software and the quantity thereof from terminals 111-113 connected to the Internet 13 at an arbitrary subsequent point, whereby the software production cost is automatically calculated, and displayed and provided as an estimated value on screens of terminals 111-113. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
