<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater for saving energy by prioritizing the operation of a highly efficient heat pump even when a greater hot water supplying load exists. <P>SOLUTION: A water heat exchanger 13 for heat exchange between a condenser 2 in a cooling medium circuit and itself and a heater 37 are connected to a water circuit in which hot water is circulated from the lower part of a hot water storage tank 5 to the upper part thereof. The number of revolution of a circulation pump 12 and the output of the heater 37 are controlled by a first temperature detector 38 provided on the outlet side of the water heat exchanger 13 in the water circuit and by a second temperature detector 39 provided on the outlet side of the heater 37, respectively, and the operation of the heat pump is prioritized in the combined operation of the heat pump and the heater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
