<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding device for a camera lens, a device that makes temporary exposure interruption possible without being accompanied with frame feed during photographing by a bulb mode. <P>SOLUTION: A unit 10 is used that is detachably mounted in front of the camera lens. The unit 10 incorporates a light shielding blade 13 that mechanically opens and closes the front face of the camera lens through a manual operation by a user, with an exposure operation performed separately from the shutter in the camera lens. The light shielding blade 13 is of a rotary type that rotates along the front face of the camera lens, and is remote-controlled with a camera cable release 20. The unit 10 is provided with a switch that is linked with the opening/closing operation of the light shielding blade 13.
