<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball 1 having a superior repulsive performance and flying performance and providing a player with a superior ball driving feeling. <P>SOLUTION: This golf ball 1 is provided with a spherical core 2 and a cover 3. The core 2 comprises a spherical center 4 and an intermediate layer 5. The surface of the cover 3 is formed with multiple dimples 6. The base material polymer of the cover 3 is mainly composed of mixture of ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer-base ionomer resin and thermoplastic elastomer containing a styrene block. The Shore D hardness of the cover 3 is not less than 55 and not more than 70. A ratio occupied by the number of dimples 6, whose inclinationαfrom a position descending from the dimple edge by 20% in the depth in the depth direction to a position descending by 50% is not less than 65°and not more than 85°, to the total number of the dimples 6 is 20% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
