PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust-prevenetive steel sheet which has excellent corrosion resistance as the stock for an automobile fuel tank, and also combines satisfactory resistance weldability and press formability. SOLUTION: The rust-preventive steel sheet for a fuel tank is obtained by applying an organic film with a film thickness of 5 to 30μm comprising (A) a resin having an urethane bond and (B) an electroconductive pigment to at least one side of a surface treated steel sheet. The resin having an urethane bond is an organic resin obtained from a film formable resin raw material comprising polyester polyol in which the number of functional groups is at least 3, and a blocked substance of organic poloyisocyanate or a blocked substance of a prepolymer with an NCO group at a terminal obtained by the reaction between organic polyisocyanate and an active hydrogen compound.
