INK-JET PRINTER, INK SUPPLY METHOD, AND MAINTENANCE METHOD FOR PRINTING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a degree of freedom for designing a device by improving the ink filling ability and maintenability of the ink-jet printer by a small waste ink amount. SOLUTION: Discrete channels are arranged parallel in a comb shape from a printing head internal common channel in a main channel, to the main channel where ink is pump driven from an ink cartridge to a channel end via the printing head internal common channel. Ink filling is carried out dividedly in two stages of filling of the main channel and filling of the discrete channels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
