PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact inkjet head which enables high-speed printing by suppressing unwanted capacitance and which has a high reliability in electrical connection even in use for a long period of time. SOLUTION: A first ink chamber 40A is formed so that the energy for discharging ink may be generated, by laminating the top surface of a partition wall defining both sides of an ink chamber 40 formed in a groove engraved in a piezoelectric substrate 4 with a cover member 5. A second ink chamber 40N is formed so that it communicates with each of the first ink chamber 40A by forming a space between the cover member 5 and the top surface of the partition wall. Further, the dimension of a ground surface 42 in the direction of a partition wall height is continuously decreased toward the direction of the first ink chamber 40A. The ground surface 42 has no driving electrode as it is prepared by grinding one side of the partition wall 41 defining both sides of the second ink chamber 40N. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
