PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of parts containing natural materials and attached to a fishing rod or other fishing gear. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is provided with a Hara-ate (butt end to come into contact with the stomach for supporting the rod), etc., formed by assembling a number of small regions composed of a matrix resin and a natural material powder dispersed in the resin. Each small region 14S containing the powder has a thickness of≥50μm or thereabout and is almost completely surrounded by a ring-shaped synthetic resin layer 14K containing little powder. Major parts of the small regions have a diameter of about 0.5-5 mm in terms of the circles of equivalent area. The outer region 14T of the ring-shaped synthetic resin layer is filled with the matrix resin mixed with the natural material powder similar to the small regions. A straight line cannot be drawn from a point on the surface of the Hara-ate to other surface part separated by a certain distance by the presence of each ring-shaped synthetic resin layer of the outer region, and the cross-sectional state continues in the longitudinal direction.
