PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared ray incorporating mobile phone for automatically performing operations of the electric appliances such as automatic television sound muting and VTR recording or the like in the case of making a phone call or receiving a phone call when viewing television. SOLUTION: The infrared ray incorporating mobile phone 10 commands operations of a television receiver 20. An operation section 101 performs various operations. An infrared ray interface 102 makes data communication using the infrared ray 104 with the television receiver 20. A read-only memory 105 stores remote control signal formats of television receivers and VTRs of various manufacturers.
