PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an expansion valve device for constituting a refrigeration cycle of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: This expansion valve device 4 is composed of a pipe body 7 directly connected to a pipe of the refrigeration cycle, a valve cylinder 9 fixed in the pipe body 7 by arranging a through-hole 8 composed of a large diameter cylindrical part 8a having the prescribed length and a small diameter cylindrical part 8b longer than the part in a central part, a columnar valve element 10 inserted into the through-hole 8, moving to the large diameter cylindrical part 8a side by a flow of a refrigerant flowing in the through-hole 8 and moving to the small diameter cylindrical part 8b side by an inverse flow, a stopper 11A arranged on both ends of the valve cylinder 9 and checking slipping-out of the valve element 10 or a silencer 11B having both the stopper function and the abnormal sound absorbing function. A contracted pipe part 12 is formed on the left and right of the pipe body 7, and regulates the movement of the valve cylinder 9 and the silencer 11B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
