In a method for the Gabor filtration of image signals, following singular value disaggregation of the Gabor filter, filtration is undertaken in the time domain as a one-dimensional convolution. The one-dimensional convolution is preferably undertaken according to the formula (I), wherein B is the filtered signal, A is the signal to be filtered, G is a given Gabor filter, which is an element of a real number matrix of a size m x n with m <= n, ui is the i-th column vector of a matrix U, which has arisen by singular value disaggregation G = UDV<T> with a diagonal matrix D whose main diagonal contains the singular values of G,wi<T> is the i-th column vector of a matrix W = DV. |
