MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY, HYBRID CELL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody recognizing 7-ketocholesterol, a hybrid cell producing the monoclonal antibody, a method for producing the monoclonal antibody and a method for the inspection of 7-ketocholesterol by using the monoclonal antibody.

SOLUTION: The monoclonal antibody is produced by a hybrid cell obtained by the cell fusion of an antibody-producing cell obtained from a homeostatic animal immunized with a 7-ketocholesterol-polymer complex as an antigen with the same or different kinds of lymphoid cell. The invention further relates to a method for producing the monoclonal antibody recognizing 7-ketocholesterol by using a hybrid cell and a method for the inspection of 7-ketocholesterol by using the monoclonal antibody.
