<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water capable of continuously separating, recovering and decomposing various organic halogen compounds from the waste water in a simple manner. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating the waste water comprises (a) a step of extracting the organic halogen compounds from the waste water containing the organic halogen compounds by bringing the waste water into contact with supercritical carbon dioxide, (b) a step of adsorbing the extracted organic halogen compounds onto an adsorbent and (c) a step of decomposing the organic halogen compounds by bringing the adsorbent into contact with the supercritical water or subcritical water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
