<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique permitting a high-speed processing of an optical signal for reading information such as an address from the optical signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical signal processor includes, on a substrate, an input optical waveguide, an optical splitting means for splitting the light inputted to the input optical waveguide into N (integer equal to or more than 2), an array of N first optical delay waveguides connected to respective output ports of the optical splitting means and for providing different delay times, optical gate means respectively provided to the array of the first optical delay waveguides, an N input/N output optical switch into which the optical signals from the array of the first optical delay waveguides are inputted, an array of N second optical delay waveguides connected to respective output ports of the N input/N output optical switch and for providing different delay times, an optical multiplexing means for multiplexing the optical signals from the array of the second optical delay waveguides, and an output optical waveguide connected to an output port of the optical multiplexing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
