PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation structure for a building having living spaces, superior in ventilating efficiency, easy to construct and less in cost for installation and maintenance. SOLUTION: The ventilation structure comprises a first air supply and exhaust duct 11 extending nearly along one side face S1 of the building B, a second air supply and exhaust duct 12 extending nearly along the other side face S2 of the building B, a first air supply and exhaust port duct 13 for opening at least either end of the first air supply and exhaust duct 11 to one side face S1, a second air supply and exhaust port duct 14 for opening at least either end of the second air supply and exhaust duct 12 to the other side face S2, two or more first air supply and exhaust branch ducts 15 for communicating the first air supply and exhaust duct 11 with living spaces 10, and two or more second air supply and exhaust branch ducts 16 for communicating the second air supply and exhaust duct 12 with the living spaces 10.
