The sanitary fitting includes a cartridge for the mixing of hot and cold water and a two-piece housing consisting of a main housing (1) and a cartridge housing (9) at an angle to its longitudinal axis and with a cavity at least partially forming a cartridge chamber. The main housing has a centrally disposed socket (132) which is round in cross section and open to the outside, forming an inner wall to accommodate the cartridge housing. The main housing and cartridge housing are interconnected by a threaded connection, whereby the cartridge is fitted twist-resistant in a position in the cartridge chamber.
