It is possible to detect a feature of text data and analogize latent meaning concealed in the text data. Text data input from an input section (1) is subjected to a word cutting process by a word cutting section (3) and syntax analysis by a syntax analysis section (4). From the processing result, a thesaurus is created by a thesaurus creation section (5). The word cutting and syntax analysis are performed again. After this, sorting is performed by a thesaurus sorting section (7). An appearance frequency calculation section calculates the thesaurus appearance frequency. A correlation coefficient calculation section (11) calculates a correlation coefficient between the thesauruses. A correlation coefficient total calculation section (13) for each thesaurus calculates the total of correlation coefficients of each thesaurus. A graph creation display section (15) creates a graph according to the appearance frequency and the total of correlation coefficients of each thesaurus.
