A device for applying coating with a metallurgical bond, comprising a powder feeder and a plasmotron with an outer arc and a duct for local powder supplying into the arc cathode zone, connected by a pipe having a horizontal section for transfer of powder, wherein the anode is a piece to be coated, characterized in that said horizontal section is connected to the plasmotron powder feed pipe by means of a transporting gas discharge unit in the form of a cylinder with porous walls and with adjustable working length.
