ARTICLE IDENTIFICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article identification device which is equipped with a tag reader and can be used conveniently.

SOLUTION: This article identification device is equipped with a tag read part which reads a tag having a unique identifier; an audio information input part which inputs audio information after the tag is read, a storage part which stores the audio information inputted from the audio information input part while correlating it with the unique identifier that the tag has; a decision part which decides whether the identifier of the read tag is the unique identifier of the tag stored in the storage part; an audio information reproduction part which reproduces the audio information correlated with the identifier according to the decision result of the decision part; a communication part which communicates with external equipment; and a control part which controls those functions. The device sends and receives the unique identifier that the tag has and the audio information correlated with the identifier to and from the external equipment.
