<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnifying observation device and the like capable of univocally determining the edge part of a circle and a line in a picked-up observation image. <P>SOLUTION: The magnifying observation device has an image pickup means for picking up the observation image, a display means for displaying the observation image, an edge detection means for signal-processing an image signal and detecting edge information about an edge included by the observation image, a point indicating means for indicating an arbitral point of the observation image, an edge extraction means for extracting an edge part existing around the point indicated by the point indicating means based on the edge information of the observation image detected by the edge detection means and a highlighting means for performing predetermined image processing for the extracted edge part and overlaying the result on the observation image. Detection and determination of the edge part can be easily done by detecting the edge part and displaying it after performing image processes including the highlight process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
