<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooking rice by which the rice is puffily cooked in a state of standing rice in a method for cooking the rice in an individual meal tray, and to provide an apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A steam introduction port (5) is provided at the bottom of a cooking chamber (K) movably housing a tray receiving pedestals (2) arranged at a prescribed interval in the forward direction of the tray (1) and holding the tray (1). A magnet (13) is provided in each tray receiving pedestal (2). A magnet (24) of opposite polarity to the magnet (13) is mounted at the prescribed interval in the forward direction of a conveyor chain in the conveyor chain (12) for driving installed outside the cooking chamber (K) so as to respond to the magnet (13) provided in the tray receiving pedestal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
