METHOD OF DECIDING EFFECTIVE LIFE OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE COMPONENT AND PROJECTOR LIGHT SOURCE ASSEMBLY FOR PROJECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of appropriately deciding the replacement timing of components by monitoring the effective lives (usable period) of high-temperature components that are approaching their ends.

SOLUTION: This method includes a step 102 for recording one or more of the time lengths that a high temperature components of a system (for example, the light source 604 such as the light bulb of a projector) operates following a high-temperature policy, and a step 104 to carry out the operation in response to the length larger than the threshold for either one of the time lengths recorded by the above high-temperature component.
