PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed CDMA station and a CDMA transmission method for the fixed station in which a system can be made extremely flexible. SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 is provided with a means 11 for forming a frame structure and a means 12 for spreading data using a code sequence with a spread coefficient depending on each original payload data rate. Further, the transmitter 1 is equipped with means 10, 11 each for compressing a data block to generate a burst having compressed data and with the means 10, 11, a time period not used for transmitting the compressed data block is formed in the frame of the frame structure.
