PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head for an ink jet printer in which failure of ejection can be suppressed effectively even after long term preservation for distribution, or the like, and to provide a method for preserving or transporting the head. SOLUTION: The ink jet head is filled with a liquid composition only in the vicinity of nozzles. As compared with a case where the ink jet head is preserved or transported while filling the ink channels with a liquid composition, residual liquid composition in the head can be replaced with an ink composition easily. Consequently, failure of ejection due to incomplete replacement of the liquid composition in the ink channel of the head with the ink composition can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
