PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the stable quality and an improvement in user-friendliness of a vacuum cleaner having a dust collecting means for collecting dust. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower 14 for generating a suction air; the dust collecting means 12 for collecting the dust; and a dust collecting chamber 13 for storing the dust collecting means 3. A pressure member 26 for restricting the expansion of the dust collecting means 12 to a prescribed range from substantially above is provided in the dust collecting chamber 13.
