PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital composite machine which can be manufactured without using a memory of a large capacity and perform interruption copying. SOLUTION: The digital composite machine comprises a scanner, a copy operation unit and a printer, and is composed such that, if a user issues a start indication of the interruption copying to the copy operation unit (step S206; receipt of request for securing memory), the scanner starts (step S212) waiting until an empty storage area required for performing the interrupt copying in the printer is prepared (step S211; elapsed time = predicted time).
