PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for producing a glycosyltransferase catalyzing the glycosyl transfer of α-1, 3-bond to a saccharide receptor or the glycosyl transfer of α-1, 3-and α-1, 4-bonds, in a large amount.

SOLUTION: This gene of the glycosyltransferase catalyzing the glycosyl transfer of α-1, 3-bond to the saccharide receptor or the glycosyl transfer of α-1, 3-and α-1, 4-bonds is provided. Further, the recombinant vector containing the gene, the transformed living thing with the vector, the recombinant glycosyltransferase by using the transformant, the method for producing the same and the method for producing saccharides containing an α1→3 bond in its molecule, especially nigero-oligosaccharide by using the recombinant glycosyltransferase are provided.
