摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technique for regenerating a collecting means with suppressed deterioration of fuel economy, irrespective of length of working time of a vehicle, in an exhaust emission control device for an engine equipped with the collecting means for collecting particulates. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust emission control device 100 that purifies exhaust gas exhausted from a diesel engine 10 of a forklift, when an automatic regeneration button 64 is set ON, the regenerating process of the collecting means 14 is started by controlling an exhaust gas temperature adjusting means, on condition that the amount of collected particulates by the collecting means 14 reaches a given value. Meanwhile, when a forced regeneration button 62 is set ON, the regenerating process of the collecting means 14 is started by controlling the exhaust gas temperature adjusting means.
