<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new voltage-dependent Ca<SP>+</SP>channel protein, to provide a DNA encoding the protein, to provide a method for screening a compound promoting or inhibiting activity of the protein, and to provide the compound obtained by the screening method. <P>SOLUTION: This protein has an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence expressed by sequence No:1, sequence No:3 or sequence No:42 and is, for example, useful as a diagnostic marker, etc., for cancer, infertility, etc. The compound which is obtained by the screening method using the protein and promotes or inhibits the activity of the protein is, for example, used as a prophylactic or remedy for the cancer, the infertility, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
