PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve an ink hitting position deviation in the reciprocation of an ink-jet head in an ink-jet printer which can change the number of shots for composing one pixel. SOLUTION: In a driving control method of the ink-jet printer 10 having a plurality of printing modes corresponding to the number of shots for composing pixels, a hitting time memory process and a driving control process are provided for every printing mode. In the hitting time memory process, a pixel center hitting time duration from a first shot application time when a driving voltage is impressed to a nozzle 304 to form the first shot for composing the pixel to a center shot hitting time when a center shot of a shot group for composing the pixel hits a printing object is calculated and stored. In the driving control process, an impression timing of the driving voltage to a movement timing of the ink-jet head 31 is controlled based on the stored pixel center hitting time duration.
