PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which a normal image having no image printing position dislocation is constantly obtained without compromising the extendability of a system. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, a plotter unit 1 is connected to a printer control unit 2 through a packet switch network 3. The image forming device has the function of adjusting the sub-scanning picture resist of the plotter unit 1 in accordance with the delay time of a data packet in the packet switch network 3.
