PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly receive a response mail to a delivery confirmation request from a receiver-side device in the transmission of an e-mail with the delivery confirmation request being set. SOLUTION: A terminal device 21 performs transmission and receiving of data through a network, and requests a response to transmission of data from the receiver-side device. In this terminal device 21, an e-mail determination part 16 determines whether the data transmitted through a network are response data to the response request or not, and a main control part 2 performs a control so that the data determined to be the response data in the determination part 16 are received in preference to other data.
