METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SLAB CUTTING OF TORCH CUTTING MACHINE USING SENSOR IN CONTINUOUS CASTING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A method for controlling slab cutting of TCM (torch cutting machine) using sensor in continuous casting process is provided to control the TCM to calculate cutting length of the slab using proceeding length of slab and position value of the TCM and accurately cut the slab correspondingly with the calculated cutting length. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a proceeding length measuring step of sensing a top end part of slab(30) coming out of the cooling chamber using a slab length measuring sensor(41) installed on cooling chamber(45), and measuring proceeding length of the slab being proceeded after sensing the top end part of the slab; a TCM (torch cutting machine) distance measuring step of measuring a distance from the reference position to current TCM position using a TCM distance measuring sensor(42) installed at a preset TCM reference position; a slab cutting length calculation step of calculating a slab cutting length value from the top end part of the slab being proceeded to the TCM current position using the measured slab proceeding length value and the measured distance value from the reference position to the current TCM position; and a slab cutting step of cutting the slab correspondingly with the calculated cutting length by starting the TCM(31) if a preset slab target cutting length corresponds to the calculated slab cutting length.
