<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint capable of increasing sealability by eliminating the rattling of a male side joint part when the male part joint part is inserted into a female side joint part. <P>SOLUTION: A swelled part 24 is formed on the male side joint part 22 of a first pipe member 2, and the female side joint part 32 is formed on a second pipe member 3 in the state of swelling from a general part cylindrical part 21. The pipe joint (locking member) 10 fitted to the second pipe member 3 is formed of a body ring part covering the stepped cylindrical part 35 and cylindrical part 36 of the female side joint part 22 and an elastic arc-shaped projected line 15 engaged with the swelled part 24. When the male side joint part 22 is inserted into the female side joint part 32, the locking member 10 is increased in diameter while deflecting to a second pipe member 3 side along the axial direction thereof to allow the insertion of the male side joint part 22 therein. When the male side joint part 22 completes its insertion into the female side joint part 32, the arc-shaped projected line of the locking member 10 is engaged with the engagement face 26 of the swelled part 24 to press the first pipe member 2 to a second pipe member 3 side for fixed connection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
