<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure device in which positional deviation among color images can be corrected with a continuous correction amount when the color images are transferred while being superposed and the correction amount can be varied in one line, and to provide an image forming apparatus employing it and a method of regulating color matching. <P>SOLUTION: The exposure device is provided with an optical unit 40 and an fθ lens 41. The optical unit 40 is provided with an LD 5, and a polygon mirror 3 for deflecting/reflecting a laser beam irradiated from the LD 5 toward a photosensitive drum 22 and scanning the photosensitive drum 22. On an optical path formed by the polygon mirror 3, a liquid crystal cell 1 for deflecting a laser beam irradiated from the polygon mirror 3 toward the photosensitive drum 22 is disposed. The liquid crystal cell 1 is connected with a circuit 2 for controlling deflection of the laser beam based on the positional shift between electrostatic latent images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
