<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange an LED as a backlight source at the optimum position with respect to the entrance face of a light guide plate by an easy work and to prevent the LED from easily shifting from the optimum position by external shock or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display containing a backlight unit 30 having an LED housing part 34 in the lateral side of the entrance face 32a of the light guide plate 32, an LED mount substrate 28 is provided successively to a flexible substrate 20 to be connected to the liquid crystal panel 10 in such a manner that the substrate 28 is protruding from a specified side of the substrate 20 to a lateral direction and is to be bent into the backlight unit side and disposed on the LED housing part 34. An LED 31 mounted on the LED mount substrate 28 is disposed in the LED housing part 34, while the LED mount substrate 28 is pushed to the LED housing part 34 by a part of the liquid crystal panel 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
