<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit card with a bar code, in which no dedicated card reader is necessary for the certification of a point service member, and a card point management method capable of collectively managing a card point irrespective of account settlement with cash or the credit. <P>SOLUTION: This credit card 1 with a bar code has a bar code 2 readable with a POS terminal. In the bar code 2, a point service member number is recorded. In order to manage the card point by the credit card 1 with the bar code, in the case of the settlement of accounts with cash, the management method includes a step in which the certification of the point service member is performed by reading the bar code with the POS terminal 4 and a step in which the card point is added to a point server 7 by employing the point service member number as a key, and a step in which the card point after being added is printed and outputted on a receipt sent out of the POS terminal 4, after the member is certified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
