<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer capable of obtaining a high quality image through a simple structure by ejecting ink to a sheet and then fixing the ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet printer for forming an image by ejecting ink to a sheet comprises a means for carrying the sheet by rotating a sheet holding drum holding the sheet on the outer circumferential surface thereof, a means for holding the sheet at a specified position of the sheet holding drum, a means for writing an image on the sheet held on the sheet holding drum by ejecting ink from an ink jet recording head, a means for fixing the ink ejected onto the sheet, and a means for separating the fixed sheet from the sheet holding drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
