<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the filtering function of an inner filter for a long time by removing particulates collected by the inner filter to the outside of an outer filter, and to allow low-cost manufacture of a device. <P>SOLUTION: An outer filter 3 made of metal is placed outside of an inner filter 2 made of metal for particulate collection with a space S1 therebetween. The outer filter 3 is surrounded by a casing 4 with a space S2 therebetween. An inlet path 5 of exhaust gas is communicated with the space S1 between the inner and outer filters 2 and 3. An outlet path 6 of exhaust gas is communicated with the inside of the inner filter 2. A circulation window 7 is made in the outer filter 3 to allow exhaust gas to flow around from the space S1 between the inner and outer filters 2 and 3 to the space S2 between the outer filter 3 and the casing 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
