<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the quantity of steel plate to be used required for manufacturing an installation plate fixed to a wall surface and locking an indoor machine of an air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of L-shaped plates 2 and 3 being an object are molded by a press from one rectangular steel plate, and the inverted U-shaped installation plate 4 is formed. The L-shaped plates 2 and 3 form upper locking parts 2a and 3a and lower locking parts 2b and 3b for locking back face upper-lower parts of an indoor machine body, a plurality of installation holes 2c and 3c to the wall surface and joining parts 2d and 3d joined so as to become the inverted U-shaped installation plate. The left-right of the upper locking parts 2a and 3a are cut off, and both are allowed to abut on each other by arranging a level difference corresponding to the plate thickness of the other joining part in one of the joining parts 2d and 3d, and are joined, for example, by spot welding, and the inverted U-shaped installation plate 4 is formed.
