<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference of a work with a nozzle by simply and easily correcting deviation between a point of irradiation of beams or the like and a machining program when performing the machining by inclining the nozzle in a laser beam machine, a plasma machine, and a gas cutting machine. <P>SOLUTION: A work is machined while keeping a gap L between a nozzle N and the work. When machining a groove by inclining the nozzle N by an angle of inclination of Q around the point T of irradiation, the nozzle N is retracted along the nozzle axis by "(L/cos Q)-L". No deviation occurs between the point T of irradiation and a program path, and interference of the nozzle N with the work is avoided.
