PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ink pellet separable with markedly high reliability. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer has a dispensing device for dispensing the ink pellets in substantially the identical shape. The dispensing device comprises a duct for moving the ink pellets from an upstream position to an ink pellet separation unit at the downstream position, a first boundary means for forming a single row of the ink pellets in a direction of a flow in the duct just before the separation unit, and a second boundary means for forming a single layer of the ink pellets in the duct just before the row. The row has a length of at least extended two ink pellets. The layer is inclined to have a small angle with respect to the horizontal plane. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
