PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella cover which excels in portability and is easy to handle while an umbrella is wet. SOLUTION: The umbrella cover comprises an umbrella bag formed of a tube of rubber material, whose body has a number of slackening or bellows-like pleats extensible in the direction of the thickness to facilitate taking-up, and whose point vicinity forms a clamp or a rubber material strap as a ring substantially encircling one turn over the umbrella bag substantially at right angles to the longitude. The tube is taken up in the form of a doughnut, and resistance is imparted to taking-up in the process to the point vicinity of the umbrella bag, thereby preventing the umbrella bag from being loosened by reverse turning. The body of the umbrella bag is configured by combining a base band of an aggregate of slackening portions, and a base band wherein no slackening portion is present. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
