PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical type sealed lead-acid battery with excellent battery property. SOLUTION: An electrode 2 comprising a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate each having a plurality of electrode tabs 1 on its end surface is wound up spirally through a separator to form an electrode group. Each electrode tab 1 projects from the inside to the outside of the electrode group 3 wound up spirally, aligning on the end surface. Each electrode tab 1 of the electrode group 3 expands its width from the inside to the outside of the electrode group 3 wound up spirally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
