PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt for avoiding the generation of a belt slip and maintaining the effect for long even if water enters an engine compartment in a drive on a rainy day. SOLUTION: In a V ribbed belt 1, a compressed rubber layer 4, where a rib is provided adjacently to an adhesive rubber layer 2 in which a conductor 3 is buried along the longitudinal direction of the belt, and a base cloth 5 is laminated on the rear of the belt. The compressed rubber layer 4 is made of a rubber composition, where 1-15 pts.mass porous acrylic short fiber 6 is blended to a rubber 100 pts.mass. The contacting section with a pulley is made of the rubber composition, thus showing a water absorption and drainage effect when pouring water for avoiding slip. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
