The invention provides fusion proteins comprising a fibrinogen-like domain comprising an amino acid sequence identical or homologous to the amino acid sequence of the fibrinogen-like domain of a first wild-type angiopoietin-related factor and a coiled-coil domain comprising an amino acid sequence identical or homologous to the coiled-coil domain of a second wild-type angiopoietin-related factor, where the first and second wild-type angiopoietin related factors are different. The invention further provides polynucleotides encoding such fusion proteins, vectors comprising such polynucleotides, and methods of making and administering such fusion proteins, polynucleotides, and vectors.
