The spring suspension system has a hydraulic setting element (2) between each the wheels (4) and the chassis (3), the length of which is altered by variation of the hydraulic setting volume (9) under control of a valve unit (11), with a displacement volume (15) forming a closed hydraulic system with the setting volume for active regulation of the spring suspension.
