<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect parts of a motorcycle, a bicycle or the like against theft. <P>SOLUTION: An antitheft device comprises radio tags T1 to T10 embedded in main parts of a vehicle A or B to be protected against theft and externally powered to emit radio signals; and a monitoring device 20 mounted on the vehicle and provided with a transmission and reception part 22 for powering the radio tags T1 to T10, receiving radio waves from the radio tags T1 to T10 and, upon interrupted reception of a radio wave during the radio wave reception, outputting a signal indicating the interruption of the radio wave reception, and a control part 21 for actuating an alarm 25 for raising an alarm to announce a theft according to the signal from the transmission and reception part 22 upon interrupted communication from the radio tags T1 to T10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
